Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak reportedly teamed up to create her Play This Song music video.

The 56-year-old pop diva drops her 16th album Here For It All on September 26, along with the expensive music video for the Mariah's next single, which has been said to be jam-packed with "funky R+B".

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "The video is already shot and, as you would expect, it's high budget.

"Mariah looks incredible, and the track is really fun. It's got a funky R+B vibe to it.

"The video is out on the same day as the album - September 26."

The megastar previously teased a collaboration with the 39-year-old singer and rapper.

In August, Mariah told the publication's column: "We might have a duet with Anderson .Paak, it’s like a Seventies R’n’B vibe. It’s funky.

“There will probably be more remixes coming.

“I was working on some new songs, then I was like, ‘OK, I have four songs. That’s cool, what are we going to do?’

“Finally, when we got to around six songs, I said, ‘I think we can make this into an album’.

“I have a good amount of songs, though. I don’t really let anyone listen to them until they are done, that’s kind of the way it works for me.”

Here For It All is Mariah's first album since 2018's Caution, and she shared it with the world on September 26.

The music icon captioned a teaser clip on Instagram on July 21: "Here For It All [butterfly emoji] My new album out 9/26 [butterfly emoji] Pre-order now!"

It will include the previously released lead single, Type Dangerous.

However, it is unlikely that Mariah's 14-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe - whom she has with her former husband, 44-year-old comedian Nick Cannon - will be listening to Here For It All because they have their "own taste" in music.

In August, Mariah told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "Sometimes I hold back from playing my songs to my kids as they have their own taste.

"Roe loves Olivia Rodrigo, and Roc loves Sabrina Carpenter."
