Olivia Rodrigo is "so proud" of the extra tracks which have been added to the deluxe version of her hit album 'Guts'.
The 21-year-old pop star has dropped an updated version of the record called 'Guts (spilled) which features five extra songs including 'Obsessed' which she made with musician/producer Dan Nigro and fellow singer St. Vincent - and she's described it as "one of my favourites".
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "GUTS (spilled) is out!!!!!” the pop star wrote, sharing photos from the “Obsessed” music video, which dropped just a few hours ahead of the deluxe album. "I made 'Obsessed' with @dan_nigro and @st_vincent almost 3 years ago and I’m so stoked it’s finally out in the world. it’s always been one of my favourites and it’s been so fun to play live every night on tour.
"I’m so proud of the songs 'Stranger', 'Girl I’ve Always Been', and 'Scared Of My Guitar' as well and especially excited about 'So American'. Hope you guys dig!!!!!! The GUTS have been spilled!!!!"
The 'Good 4 U' hitmaker announced the project during a concert at the United Center in Chicago last week and the record dropped on Friday (22.03.24).
'So American' is the only unheard track on the list as the other four were previously made available on the 'Guts: The Secret Tracks’ vinyl, though they weren’t available on streaming services.
The 'vampire' hitmaker teamed up with her pal Jack White to release the vinyl via his Third Man Records after he wrote her a letter telling Olivia her "only job" is to write radio-worthy music.
In an interview with The New York Times, Olivia explained: “He wrote me this letter the first time I met him that said, ‘Your only job is to write music that you would want to hear on the radio.
“I mean, writing songs that you would like to hear on the radio is in fact very hard."
