Bloober Team has officially confirmed it is developing a remake of the original Silent Hill.

The studio said it is working on a new take of the 1999 horror title, with the project now a major focus for one of its two primary internal development teams.

During an investor Q+A, Bloober’s leadership revealed: “We have two first party production teams, one working on the Silent Hill 1 project and the other starting work on another project. Five projects are currently being implemented as part of the second party.”

Though still early in development, Bloober confirmed the remake has entered full production, signaling a more serious commitment than prior teasers had suggested.

The studio previously teased the title via a minimalist trailer featuring the game’s name and classic theme, confirming collaboration with Konami.

As well as the Silent Hill remake, Bloober also hinted it may make a sequel to its recent survival horror game Cronos: The New Dawn.

The studio said: “Cronos is our first major IP. The team responsible for it has now started working on another project, but we definitely intend to further expand the IP in the future - across many areas of exploitation. We have high hopes for it.”

Bloober added it was not “actively working on” developing more content or DLC for Cronos, though “didn’t rule out” doing so in the future.

The leadership said: “At the moment, apart from marketing updates, the company is not actively working on development (neither continuation nor DLC), but we do not rule it out in the future and we are definitely thinking about developing this IP.”
