The ground-breaking installment of the ITV soap is due to air on Monday night (16.02.26) kicking off with a police interview in which Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) is seen telling detectives about finding a dead body on the day her mother Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) married Carla Connor (Alison King).
The interview is set in April and the action skips back to the present day to unveil five characters who have all been lined up as potential victims - Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon), Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn), Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown) and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard).
The episode explains Betsy had left the wedding and was heading into town for a night out when she discovered the body. Corrie fans will then be shown how each of the potential victims could end up being murdered as the drama ramps up in the weeks before the wedding.
Megan is seen growing "more fearful than ever" that her illicit relationship with teenage student Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson Wale) is about to be exposed following his arrest on Christmas Day for attacking her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) while Maggie also finds herself in increasing danger after giving Will a fake alibi over the Christmas Day attack.
Carl also appears to be on the brink after he let his mum Debbie (Sue Devaney) take the blame for the accident which killed Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) while Theo's controlling relationship with his partner Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is seen worsening as Todd is shown gripping a knife menacingly in the sink - suggesting he may go to extreme lengths to secure his freedom.
Jodie is also shown to be at risk as the secrets she's been keeping start to emerge.
The flashforward episode concludes with all five characters seen on the cobbles for the wedding fireworks before Betsy is heard screaming. Viewers will have to wait until April 23rd to find out which of the five is going to meet a brutal end.
