John Lennon recorded the demo in 1979

The original 'Now And Then' demo was recorded by John Lennon back in 1979 at his Dakota Building apartment in New York City.

A cassette recording was given to Sir Paul McCartney by John's widow Yoko Ono in 1994 along with other demos for The Beatles 'Anthology' project.

The band were able to release 'Free As A Bird' and 'Real Love' from those recordings for the project.
