In 1964, Glynis as cast as Mrs Winifred Banks in Disney musical movie 'Mary Poppins' opposite Julie Andrews. As the mother of two children in need of a nanny, Glynis sang the feminist number 'Sister Suffragette’. Her performance was hailed by critics and in 1998 she was named a Disney Legend.
