Dame Glynis?

As the legendary actress turns 100, there have been calls for her to receive a Damehood.

Glynis is no stranger to the royal family, having moved in the same circles during the height of her career in the 1950s and now those close to her are calling for her to be named a dame.

MP Chris Bryant said: "Glynis’s CV stands up strongly when compared to fellow actors of her generation and younger like Angela Lansbury, Judi Dench, Joan Collins and Maggie Smith, who all received Damehoods – so it would be nice if the government could make the same gesture for her as she turns 100."
