Puppy yoga puts pooches in peril
Puppy yoga is putting dogs in serious danger.
An investigation has found that pooches who take part in exercise classes were being deprived of sleep and water in hot weather.
The RSPCA and The Kennel Club have raised concerns about the wellness trend that involves puppies being used in different yoga poses.
Those attending the classes - which have proved popular among social media influencers - are told that it benefits their mental health and allows the pooches to socialise.
However, Esme Wheeler of the RSPCA said: "There is no regulation around puppy yoga and it is concerning that anyone can set it up."
Bill Lambert, of The Kennel Club, added: "Any dog should always have access to water, a safe area to go to the toilet and exercise, as well as plenty of time to rest in a quiet and ideally private area.”
