Emma Raducanu parts ways with coach Sebastian Sachs: ‘I wish him all the best’
In her fifth coaching change in less than two years, Emma Raducanu has parted ways with her coach Sebastian Sachs.

Emma Raducanu has parted ways with her coach Sebastian Sachs.
The 20-year-old former US Open champion’s move marks her fifth coaching change in less than two years.
She tweeted: “I have really enjoyed Seb’s coaching and working with him, it’s unfortunate that circumstances made it unfeasible for both of us to continue right now and we have decided to part ways.
“I wish Seb all the best moving forwards.”
Sachs joined Raducanu’s team in December, taking over from Dmitry Tursunov.
Raducanu was forced to miss the French Open and will not return for Wimbledon this year as she recovers from minor surgeries on her ankle and hands – and has now dropped out of the top 100 in the women's world rankings.
Despite her remarkable triumph at the 2021 US Open, Raducanu has encountered a string of challenges, including injuries and a constant rotation of coaching staff.
This year, she has participated in only 10 Women’s Tennis Association Tour matches, winning just five of them.
But she secured three victories at Indian Wells before suffering a defeat against Polish world number one, Iga Swiatek.
Raducanu’s ranking has plummeted to 107, resulting in the absence of any British women in the top 100.
It means she will not have automatic qualification for the upcoming US Open, and she will either have to progress through the qualifying rounds or be granted a wildcard entry, provided she is fit enough to compete.
The lack of British representation in the singles events at Roland Garros this year has attracted criticism, as only three men, including Britain’s highest seed Cameron Norrie, currently ranked 13th in the world, managed to qualify for the main draws.
Dan Evans and Jack Draper were eliminated in the first round. Draper, another promising young British player, has also struggled with injuries and retired from his first-round match in Paris against Argentina's Tomas Martin Etcheverry due to a shoulder issue.
