Beck insures his fingers for millions

Rolling Stone magazine ranked Beck at Number 5 in the magazine's 100 Greatest Guitarists list.

In an essay from the publication, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell wrote: "Jeff Beck has the combination of brilliant technique with personality. It’s like he’s saying, 'I’m Jeff Beck. I’m right here. And you can’t ignore me.'

"There is a spirituality and confidence in him, a commitment to being great."

At one point, Beck insured his fret playing fingers for up to $10 million!

He made the decision after suffering several accidents, including slicing off the top of his left index finger whilst chopping carrots for a stew at his home.
