David Furnish wins The Gamechanger Award

David, the husband of music legend Sir Elton John, was honoured with the Gamechanger Award in celebration of his work with Elton John Aids Foundation – which has raised almost £500 million to support HIV prevention since it was established in 1992.

He warned that "politics" cannot be allowed to halt progression to find a cure for the disease.

Furnish said: "We can't afford to let political oppression roll back our progress. I want to acknowledge my colleagues at EJAF, who do a wonderful job, and I'm especially grateful for my 33-year loving partnership with Elton."
