Joyful Noise

Dolly plays a quick-witted church choir member in the 2012 movie Joyful Noise, opposite Queen Latifah.

In the film, two strong-minded women are forced to cooperate when budget cuts threaten to shut down a small-town choir. The gospel-based musical features several tunes penned by Dolly herself. The film was named the Faith, Family and Country Movie of the Year in 2012 by the Inspirational Country Music Association.
