9 to 5
9 to 5 is Dolly’s most iconic big screen performance ever.
Released in 1980, Dolly co-starred with Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda to take on their sexist boss, played by Dabney Coleman.
The feminist revenge comedy was soundtracked by Dolly's catchy hit single 9 to 5, which was nominated for Academy Award for Best Original Song.
In 2019, Dolly spoke about the film's legacy to ABC News saying: ‘[It] did a lot of good, but evidently didn't do enough good because we're going to always have the same problems in the workplace with women and men, I still believe that women should get paid equal and should be treated with respect."
