The video was directed by Sophie Muller and starred House actor Hugh Laurie.

The promo was inspired the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons but has a period setting like 18th century movies such as Amadeus.

Hugh is not the only famous actor to appear as he was also joined in the video by John Malkovich.
