David Hasselhoff

Perhaps the actor most closely-associated with the show, David Hasselhoff starred as Mitch Buchannon from 1989 to 2000.

Since he left the series, the actor has gone on to parody Baywatch in films such as The Spongebob Squarepants Movie and DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story.

Hasselhoff and his daughters Taylor-Ann and Hayley also starred in their own 2010 reality series, The Hasselhoffs, though it was cancelled after just two episodes.

'The Hoff' - who bravely beat alcoholism issues - also made an appearance in the 2017 reboot movie, starring Zac Efron and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, but wasn't particularly keen on the flick.

Hasselhoff told Reader's Digest: "They blew it and it bombed, except in Germany. I went on stage there and said ‘It’s a great film’, just to be nice, and it was a huge hit."
