Cruella (2021)

A bold reimagining of one of Disney’s most infamous villains, Cruella explores the origins of Cruella de Vil - the fashion-obsessed antagonist from 101 Dalmatians. Set against the punk-rock fashion scene of 1970s London, the film stars Emma Stone as Estella, a brilliant but volatile young designer whose talent and ambition set her on a collision course with the elite fashion world.

Rather than a one-note villain, the film reframes the character as a complex anti-hero, by building a layered backstory that explains how Cruella became Cruella, charting her transformation from rebellious outsider to confident provocateur.
