A breakfast fit for a King and a Queen... just not together
While most families wake up to a cosy Christmas breakfast together, the British Royal Family take a “his and hers” approach.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady dished that the men and women of the family start the day separately, only reuniting for a trip to church.
He said: “On Christmas Day, the ladies generally opt for a light breakfast of sliced fruit, half a grapefruit, toast, and coffee delivered to their rooms.
“The male royals, meanwhile, come downstairs to the dining room for a hearty breakfast at 8:30am, with eggs, bacon and mushrooms, kippers, and grilled kidneys, to set them up for the 11:00am church service at St Mary Magdalene.”
