As someone who suffered from an eating disorder in the past, the Pretty Little Liars star was naturally triggered by a Twitter troll who referred to her body shape as “that anorexia look" and told her to go "eat a hamburger".

Unable to mask her disdain, Hale hit back.

She said: “I am disgusted that a man would even think of saying these absolutely awful words to a woman. You should be ashamed of yourself. As someone who used to struggle with anorexia, I don’t take these comments lightly. I'm healthy and happy and you don’t know me.”
