Keanu Reeves played bass for his band Dogstar in the ’90s, but critics weren’t kind.

Rolling Stone said the group “wouldn’t stand out at an open mic night."

Keane later admitted: “I guess it would have helped if we were better.”

Dogstar disbanded in 2002 before reuniting years later, though they never shook off the “actor vanity project” tag.
