In 2001's Bridget Jones’s Diary, Firth - who played Mark Darcy, the love interest of Bridget (Renee Zellweger) - donned the now-iconic moose jumper.

Behind the scenes, he lamented having to wear the garment, telling Entertainment Weekly in 2023: "The set was lit at about 140 degrees Fahrenheit … I almost tore the jumper to pieces pulling it off between takes - I probably lost about 15 pounds.

"I had little love for it by the end."
