'The Reader' actress was granted a complimentary spot on any Virgin Galactic venture by Sir Richard Branson, the uncle of her husband Edward Abel Smith, back in 2011, after she saved the billionaire's mother from a house fire on Necker Island.

It is known whether Winslet will accept the offer of a trip into space.
