David Bowie
Before his passing in January 2016 at the age of 69, David Bowie investigated many religions throughout his life, including Buddhism.
Bowie once studied under Tibetan lama Chime Rinpoche.
In a 1970 interview with Jackie magazine, the 'Ashes to Ashes' singer revealed the best piece of advice he'd ever received came from a Buddhist monk.
In response to the question, he said: "To try to make each moment of one’s life one of the happiest, and if it’s not, try to find out why.
“I was told that by a Tibetan friend of mine, Chime Youngdon Rinpoche."
