Word of the Year

If you thought you'd heard enough of 'Brat', the Collins Dictionary went and named it their Word of the Year.

The term is defined by the dictionary as someone with a "confident, independent and hedonistic attitude".

Collins' lexicographers analyse social media and other sources to establish which terms should be added to their yearly list of new and notable words.

Brat is showing no signs of slowing down, with Charli having recently announced her 'Brat Tour' is extending into 2025 in North America, and planned festival appearances next 'Brat Summer' in the UK.
