She gets her inspiration at the most random times

Things were quiet for Lorde after finishing the campaign for her second album as she chose to take a break.

Aged barely 21, she explained that spending so much time in Hollywood could "f*** with" any kid.

But when the time came to put pen to paper for her comeback single 'Solar Power' in 2021, she was actually inspired to write again after taking a dip with a friend in a swimming pool.

She shared: "I was on Martha’s Vineyard with my good friend, Cazzie, staying at her house. We had just been for a big swim, all day. My hair was wet, and when I came back into my room, I had my a little Yamaha DX keyboard, and I just started singing… and kind of figuring this thing out!"
