The ‘Chicago’ star, 54, became a stepmother to Cameron Douglas when she tied the knot with his father Michael Douglas in 2000.

Cameron has spoken about how Catherine has always treated him with respect and only ever shown him love.

The 45-year actor - whose mother is actress Diandra Luker, 68 - said in 2009: "From the first day I met her, she said, 'I want us to be friends, and I want you to know that you are a huge part of our family and are welcome any time.' She has been as good as her word ... I’ve never seen my father as happy as he is with her. It’s cool to see."
