Wanting to make the movie look as realistic as possible, director Jan de Bont requested Sandra Bullock learn how to drive a bus.

Amazingly, the actress passed her first on her first try, though didn’t end up actually driving the bus.

Instead, a stunt driver in either the second row of seats or on top of the roof controlled the vehicle.
