Box office glory
When 'Jumanji' released to cinemas in 1995, the flick proved to be a major success.
On a budget of roughly $65 million, the movie earned an impressive $262.8 million by the time it left theatres, making it the tenth-highest-grossing film of the year.
While the picture missed out at the Academy Awards, the film was nominated for seven Saturn Awards, and emerged from the ceremony with two statues for Best Special Effects and Best Supporting Actress, which went to Bonnie Hunt.
