Officer Rhodes was meant to be American

Irish actor Chris O'Dowd played Officer Nathan Rhodes in ‘Bridesmaids’ but his character was originally supposed to be an American.

O'Dowd had proven he could pull off an American accent in ‘Girls and Love After Love.’

However, once the producers heard his natural speaking voice, they couldn’t resist the Irish accent and told the star to keep it.
