Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is being considered for a role in an action movie centered around the drug mafia culture in India.

According to a source from The Hindustan Times, the actress is actively engaged in discussions with an OTT platform for this action project.

The source mentioned, “Currently, Deepika is in talks with a streaming giant for a large-scale action thriller. She recognizes the power and reach of the OTT medium and is keen to explore it further.”

The insider also revealed that Deepika is enthusiastic about the project and is assessing how it aligns with her schedule.

“It's a Netflix project focusing on the drug mafia culture in India, narrated from a female perspective. It's a captivating project with a lot of action and intense sequences.

“She is keen to sign on but is currently checking her schedule,” added the source.

The insider further stated, “If she signs the dotted line, they plan to start shooting early next year.”

Another source suggested that the 37-year-old actress has not yet made a decision.

The source shared, “It's not true; currently, the actor is occupied with 'Fighter' and Rohit Shetty’s film. She has yet to sign her next project.”
