Citizen Kane
Few films are as revered in the movie world as 1941’s ‘Citizen Kane’, but the film wasn’t a blockbuster from the start.
It is often said that William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper tycoon who inspired the lead character was to blame for the flop, as he forbade the press from mentioning it by name.
Despite his best efforts, ‘Citizen Kane’ has risen the ranks and is now considered a classic.
