The late acting legend turned down creator Lorne Michaels various offers to guest host the show over the years, but she finally agreed after a petition was launched for her to take on the role.

The 'Life with Elizabeth' star - who died in 2021 aged 99 - fronted her episode in 2010 and appeared in every skit during the 90 minutes.

Executive Producer Michaels told Entertainment Weekly: "After three rejections, I stopped asking."
