One of the longest-running series of recent years is ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, with its very first episode airing in 2005.

The daily ups and downs faced by the medical team of the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital has kept the audience in front of their screens for nearly two decades, and although it is difficult to tell which of the series’ characters is the fan-favorite, Dr. Meredith Grey is certainly on the list. For her work in the series, Ellen Pompeo, 54, the actress behind this fantastic character, has won multiple awards including a Satellite Award and a People’s Choice Award.
