Wizard of Oz (1939)
The 30s musical, based on the novel by L. Frank Baum of the same name, tells the story of Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) and her pet dog Toto, who are swept up in a tornado from their home in Kansas and are transported to the magical land of Oz. They encounter along the way a good witch who gives Dorothy a pair of ruby red slippers that guide her down the yellow brick road in search of Emerald City.
