‘The Last Song’ star - who grew up in sunny Australia with his brothers Chris and Luke - admitted that he “almost drowned” many times as a kid while detailing a time he was caught in the scary grasps of a stray rope in the sea.

The 33-year-old actor told Men’s Health: "When I was a kid, one time I got my leg rope wrapped around my whole body like a ball, under water. Couldn't get up. I was in waist-deep water, but I almost drowned. You know, I've had a few times."
