The ‘Trainwreck’ star dubbed the prospect of Donald Trump becoming commander-in-chief “crazy” as she outlined her desire to run away to “Spain or somewhere”.

When she remained in the US, Amy faced a barrage of criticism but she hit back insisting that her declaration was made “in jest”.

After his 2016 electoral success, she posted on Instagram: "First of all, the interview where I said I would move was in London and was said in jest. Not that anyone needs more than a headline to count something as official news. Anyone saying pack your bags is just as disgusting as anyone who voted for [Trump]. Like the rest of us I am grieving today."
