The ‘Party in the USA’ hitmaker supported Senator Bernie Sanders' effort to be the 2016 Democratic Party presidential candidate.

Miley promised to flee the country after Trump’s victory but ended up remaining to resist his administration as a US citizen.

She said: "My heart is broken into a 100000 pieces…I am moving if [Donald Trump] is my president! I don't say things I don't mean!"
