Adele is also an ornithophobia sufferer but it is one specific bird that terrifies her.

The 35-year-old singer had an encounter with a hungry seagull which has left her fearful ever since.

She said: “I was walking down the promenade in Tenby (Wales), eating a 99 ice cream, when this huge seagull came down and swiped it off me.

“I’ve still got a scar from its claw on my shoulder. I thought it was going to take me away with it."
