Queen Elizabeth II
Even though she was worth an eye-watering $530 million, the late great Queen Elizabeth II liked to save money wherever she could.
Katie Williams, the author of 'Young Elizabeth: The Making Of Our Queen', revealed the monarch's frugal ways.
Katie said: "After Christmas, Elizabeth would collect up the wrapping paper and ribbons and would smooth them out to be saved." Whilst she is no longer with us, that tradition has reportedly continued in the royal household.
She also allegedly banned lightbulbs over 40 watts at Buckingham Palace, and old newspapers were used as horses' bedding.
