At 72, Phil Collins retired from the limelight after becoming "more immobile" due to a spinal injury he suffered in 2007.

The musician admitted that he could "barely hold a drumstick" at his final Genesis concert in March 2022 and that there were "certain physical things that get in the way" of him performing.

He added: "I’m kind of physically challenged a bit, which is very frustrating because I’d love to be playing up there with my son.”
