Emily Blunt was initially offered the role of Black Widow, which would later be taken by Scarlett Johansen, but she couldn't accept the part since she was contractually obliged to appear in 'Gulliver's Travels'.

However, that didn’t seem to be the end of the world for the actress, as she is not a super fan of superhero movies.

During an interview with Howard Stern, Blunt said that "we are inundated" with the comic book franchise, and "it's not only all the movies, it's the endless TV shows as well".
