The ‘Titanic’ star, 48, has compared his Los Angeles childhood home to the one inhabited by Jodie Foster's character Iris Steensma in Martin Scorsese's 1976 film ‘Taxi Driver’.

Hollywood's most eligible bachelor admitted that it wasn’t uncommon to see "people smoking c**** and shooting...".

In 2014, he said: "It really was like ‘Taxi Driver’ in a lot of ways… I grew up very poor and I got to see the other side of the spectrum."
