Katie Price is said to have dumped Lee Andrews after discovering he has just a few pounds to his name, rather than the millions he claimed.
Katie Price has reportedly dumped Lee Andrews after discovering he has no money.
The 48-year-old former glamour model married the controversial businessman - who is currently in jail in Dubai - in January, just days after they first met, but she is said to have quietly consulted a divorce lawyer about ending their marriage because she believes she has been "played" following the revelation he has just £2.22 in his cryptocurrency account, a far cry from the £37 million fortune he claimed to have.
According to The Sun newspaper, she sent Lee a message on WhatsApp which read: "I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?”
She told a friend: "I have come to my senses — Lee has lied and lied and lied. I am sick of it. It is over.”
Katie has no plans to return to visit Lee in Dubai, where he is currently being held at Al Awir prison while facing three civil cases.
A source added: “The marriage is done. She will never go to Dubai to see Lee again.
“It was, of course, an accumulation of many things but the final straw came after Lee had told Katie he had $50million (£37million) in a crypto wallet, and promised her some of the funds.
“He gave her the ‘recovery phrase’ — the passkey — to get into his account, and on Monday she had a financial expert access the wallet — and, to her shock, discovered it contained just $3, or £2.22.
“Lee never had $50million; he doesn’t have a bean. The most he ever had on any one day was in March for $14,490 (£10,720) which was sent out the very same day."
According to the insider, the mother-of-five had been "planning her exit" for some time amid reports of fraud allegations against Lee, as well as accusations of abuse from one of his former girlfriends.
The source added: “Obviously over the past few months Kate has seen all the damning evidence building up against him — and was always planning her exit once the white noise became unavoidable.
“But after seeing his accounts — as opposed to his AI mock-ups — she lost her s***.
“He has deeply embarrassed her and, more importantly, has scammed, hurt and cheated so many other women. Enough is enough.”
Katie is said to be planning a documentary to expose Lee's "lies".
A source said: “She is so unbelievably bored with his lies.
“She tried to give Lee the benefit of the doubt when all these women came forward, and she did, unquestionably, really fancy him.
“He initially had an answer for everything, and wormed his way back into her affections.
“But Katie has been in regular contact with Lee’s family and, crucially, his exes. They have repeatedly told her the truth and been increasingly frustrated by her apparent refusal to take notice and dump him.
“Katie has always made it clear she’s not thick.
“She has all the receipts — the screenshots, voice notes and the AI fakery. It’s little secret that she wants to make a documentary, Tinder Swindler-style, so that is now the plan.
“Hopefully some good can come out of all this — in what has been yet another turbulent year in the life of Katie Price.”
