Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will start next week.

Rockstar Games has finally announced the exact date players will be able to start pre-ordering the long awaited sequel, and there's not long to wait.

The studio has confirmed GTA VI pre-orders will begin on June 25, in just less than a week.

Rockstar is yet to confirm prices for the game, or any of the various editions fans will be expecting.

Players can wishlist the game on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S to get alerts, but it's not known exactly when pre-orders will start on the day itself.

Meanwhile, the pre-orders on June 25 will only be for digital stores and "select" retailers.

According to the claims, there could be six separate versions of GTA VI available at launch, including standard digital and physical editions, a collector-style version and bundles tied to console hardware.

Meanwhile, research from player engagement platform FirstLook found gamers in the UK and US expect GTA 6 to cost around £76 or $78 on average.

The survey of 2,000 players also found 59 per cent would consider a £100 or $100 price tag too expensive, although 40 per cent believed it would still be fair for a title of GTA 6’s scale.

FirstLook chief executive Eden Chen said: "However the survey also reveals a sharp sensitivity at the $100, which has to be some psychological barrier for consumers."

Take-Two Interactive boss Strauss Zelnick recently reassured fans that everything is still on track for the planned November 19, 2026 release date.

Asked about uncertainty surrounding release schedules in a recent interview, he said: "Right. Well, no. November 19th. I do know. It's been announced.

"I think we're about 18 months behind the original date. Not much more than that."

The game was originally expected earlier in Rockstar’s release window before being pushed back to late 2026.
