Ed Sheeran said his pal Benny Blanco smells good after the latter went viral for having dirty feet in February.
Ed Sheeran has declared Benny Blanco as the "best-smelling person" he knows.
The 35-year-old singer jumped to his 38-year-old pal's defence after the latter went viral for displaying his dirty feet in the first episode of Benny's Friends Keep Secrets podcast, which dropped on February 24.
In the latest episode - which was released on Tuesday (10.03.26) - record producer Benny came clean about his hygiene habits in a chat with guest Ed, as well as the podcast's regulars, rapper-and-comedian Lil Dicky, 37, and Lil Dicky's wife Kristin Batalucco.
Benny - who married singer Selena Gomez in September 2025 - asked Ed: "Do you shower every day?"
The Castle on the Hill hitmaker replied: "Yeah, sometimes twice a day, mostly twice a day, actually."
A shocked Benny responded: "Really?"
Ed quipped: "I feel like I'm like you, though, I look like I don't smell good. But actually, you're the best-smelling person I know."
Benny smiled as he agreed: "I know, I smell good. And I never, like, even if I don't shower..."
Kristin then chimed in and asked to smell Benny's hands, and after she sniffed him, Lil Dicky - real name Dave Burd - said: "He always smells good."
However, Benny said that it is Lil Dicky who stinks.
Lil Dicky said of his scent: "People used to say that I have a particular smell. They said it's not good or bad. You have a smell. I found that so unnerving."
Benny replied: "No, sometimes you stink!"
Lil Dicky agreed that he "can stink", but insisted: "I don't smell bad. I've heard that I still have a smell that's not good or bad."
Kristin encouraged Ed to have a sniff of Lil Dicky and Benny's belly buttons to compare the scent.
Ed said of Lil Dicky's: "That's like a bum hole. Jesus Christ! Can I have something that's going to take that smell away?"
Benny chimed in: "Mine smells just like nothing."
After people called for Benny to wash his dirty feet after they saw them as he sat on Lil Dicky's sofa in the first episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Benny defended himself.
During the February 26 episode of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Benny showed off his clean foot when the host brought it up.
Jimmy, 58, said: "Dave and Benny are here, and I neglected something important because there is something that turned up as people were watching your multimedia experience.
"People seem to be fascinated with the idea that Benny's feet are very dirty."
As a photo of Benny's dirty feet popped up on screen, Lil Dicky said: "I noticed that too, Jimmy."
Benny then defended himself: "First of all, it's the facility's fault. It's not mine. I have great feet."
He then took off his sock to show his clean foot, adding: "Someone zoom in on my foot. Look at that clean foot. Are you kidding me?"
