Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. use "separate bathrooms".

The 48-year-old actress has been married to the 49-year-old actor since 2002, and Sarah says a bathroom for each of them to do their business in is what keeps their marriage going strong.

She told E! News: "Separate bathrooms. That's what I always say."

Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen - Sarah's fellow judge on the Netflix talent show competition, Star Search - agreed and revealed she and her 47-year-old husband, singer John Legend, follow a similar rule.

The 40-year-old model - who has been married to the All of Me hitmaker since 2013 - joined Sarah on the red carpet of the programme's premiere, and explained to E! News: "It is little things like that. You got to keep the sexy and preserve the sexy in a little bit of ways."

Chrissy admitted that John - whom she has daughters Luna, nine, Esti, two, and sons Miles, seven, and Wren, two, with - does not do "that all the time", but it is a necessity for her to use a separate bathroom.

She added: "For all he knows, I have never farted or pooped."

Elsewhere, Sarah and Freddie - who met on the set of the 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer, but started dating in 2000 - like to keep their relationship private.

Freddie - who, reportedly, announced his and Sarah's engagement at a party for her 24th birthday in April 2001 - appeared on the Oldish podcast, where co-host Randy Spelling, 47, noted: "Something that I've admired about your relationship is you both have seemed to stay out of the public."

Freddie - who married his Scooby-Doo co-star during a ceremony at the El Careyes resort in Mexico, in September 2002 - responded: "That's by choice, though. You can control it to a certain degree...

"I don't know how deliberate [others] are in trying to avoid that BS. I know how easy it's been for us because I don't go anywhere. I don't go to parties. People don't see Sarah and I out and about at the popular places.

"We have our restaurants that we like, and they're not super trendy in places where paparazzi hang out. So we're good at avoiding it."

The She's All That actor - who, with Sarah, welcomed daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13, into the world in September 2009 and September 2012, respectively - stressed he wasn't "trying to s*** on anyone".

But Freddie and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum - who have adopted tactics such as waiting for their more famous neighbours to go out before leaving their home - felt avoiding such attention was "not that hard if you really" want to stay clear of it.
