Jennifer Lopez has said her next lover needs to "respect" her and "accept me for all that I am".

The 56-year-old star - who divorced Ben Affleck in 2025 - was performing her 1999 hit If You Had My Love at her Up All Night show in Las Vegas Saturday night (03.01.26) when she reflected on love and heartbreak and what she wants from her next partner.

In a clip shared to social media, she told the audience at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace: “When I first sang it, I was very young.

“And I sang it with a lot of hope.”

She went on: “But I’ve also sang it over the years, I’ve sang it while I was sad.

“And I’ve sang it when I was happy. But now, today, you know how I sing it? I sing it in power.”

“Because the truth is, if you wanted to have my love, you would have to earn it.

“You would have to treat me right. You would have to respect me.”

Sharing her needs, she added: “You’d have to accept me for all that I am.

“You’d have to love me if you wanted my love.”

JLo declared: “You can’t have love without heartbreak.

“You can’t. That’s what you sign up for.”

Despite laying out her rules for her next man, the On The Floor hitmaker is allegedly not ready to start dating again after her divorce.

A source told PEOPLE in December: “It's all about work and the kids for her. She seems happy and content."

Jennifer shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Jennifer and Ben ended their first engagement in 2004 and rekindled their romance in 2021.

They tied the knot in July 2022 and Jennifer filed for divorce two years after their second wedding ceremony in Georgia, listing April 26, 2024, as the date of their split.

Meanwhile, Jennifer – who has been married four times – previously insisted that she was enjoying single life after being in "different challenging situations" over the years.

She told Interview magazine: "Now I’m excited, when you say you’re just going to be on your own. Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I do when it’s just me flying on my own ... what if I'm just free?"

Jennifer was previously married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, and Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. She also got engaged to Alex Rodriguez in 2019 before they ended the relationship in 2021.
