Gypsy-Rose Blanchard's 'soulmate' Ken Urker has died aged 34
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard has paid an emotional tribute to Ken Urker, the father of her daughter Aurora, after his death aged 34.
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard's former fiancé Ken Urker has died aged 34.
Urker, who is the father of Blanchard's 22-month-old daughter Aurora, was "found dead upon arrival" on his birthday on Thursday (01.10.26) at a home in Louisiana, while his cause of death has not been revealed.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office told The Hollywood Reporter: "We responded to a residence at 107 Double H Drive, Lot 4, in Raceland today after receiving a call at 6:15 p.m.
"Kenan Urker, 34, was found dead upon arrival. At this time, we are continuing the death investigation."
Blanchard has described her late partner as "an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved".
She said in a statement: "He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase."
Blanchard and Urker both appeared together on Lifetime show Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup.
She noted that he faced intense scrutiny and online harassment during their time together.
She continued: "Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit.
"The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure.
“I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him, and I hope his passing serves as a reminder that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline, and every comment.”
Blanchard, who has described their daughter as "a beautiful reflection of her enduring spirit", asked for privacy for Urker's loved ones.
She added: "There are no words that can express the depth of this loss. I ask for privacy and compassion for our daughter, our families, and everyone grieving Ken during this incredibly painful time.
“He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.”
Blanchard and Urker met when he started writing her letters in 2017, while she was in prison.
She was released in 2023, having served to eight years behind bars for her role in the second-degree murder of her mother Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard.
He proposed in October 2018, and after a brief split the couple reunited in August 2019.
They later split for several years, during which time Blanchard married Ryan Anderson, a the year before her release.
They separated in 2024, and she reunited with Urker, while they welcomed Aurora into the world in December that same year.
It's not known if they were still a couple at the time of his death.
