Jerry Hall loves her single life

Jerry Hall was "surprised" by how much she loves being single.

The 70-year-old supermodel - who has four children with first husband Sir Mick Jagger, who she split from in 1999 after 22 years together, and was also married to media mogul Rupert Murdoch from 2016 to 2022 - loves being able to spend her time however she wants and finds it "easy" maintaining a house when she's the only person living there.

She told the Telegraph: “It sounds selfish, but I really enjoy just doing what I want to do. You worry about getting old and being alone, then you get there and think, ‘Hey, this is really great!’ What a surprise.

“I was a bit nervous about living alone at first. I thought, ‘Oh God, I’ve never done this ever,’ but it’s so easy! The house stays so clean. You can watch anything you want on TV.

"[I host friends] but now I only invite the people I love. It’s the most peaceful, stress-free time of my life.

“And I can sleep diagonally across the bed.”

Jerry is finding her current life stage her favourite decade so far because there is "no pressure".

She said: “They used to say we had three score [years] and 10,” she says. “But nowadays, people live into their 80s, sometimes more. And I’ve done my job. I’ve had a great career, raised my children. Now it’s fun time for me.”

Jerry has previously spoken about Mick's womanising ways, and she admitted she feels much more relaxed not having to worry about a partner having his head turned and feeling "paranoid" when they are away.

She said: “Now I’m not worried about some woman stealing my man. I’m liberated from being paranoid. I have this great group - we play bridge once a week, we’re really into gardening. It’s just so lovely.”

Jerry hasn't ruled out finding love again in the future, but she isn't "planning" her life around meeting a new partner.

Asked if she will date again, she said: “Who knows? Anything could happen, but I’m certainly not looking for it or planning. I have lunch with people, a lot of men friends. But I’m enjoying just being… relaxed. Having fun.”
