Aubrey Plaza has welcomed her first child into the world with partner Christopher Abbott.

The White Lotus actress, 42, was spotted carrying her newborn baby in New York City last weekend, after watching her significant other's final performance in the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.

Sources told TMZ that Aubrey gave birth to a daughter in the final week of July.

In April, Aubrey told how she couldn't wait to become a first-time mom, because parenting has always seemed "so interesting".

During an appearance on the SmartLess podcast, she said: "There’s a baby inside of me right now. Yes it’s true… I know it’s shocking isn’t it.

"Yes [this is baby number one] … "

When asked if she's excited about becoming a mother, Aubrey replied: "I am [excited] I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about you know. It seems so interesting that whole thing ... "
