Mel B has claimed a rumoured Spice Girls Netflix docuseries has hit the brakes.

The project with the streaming giant seemingly being scrapped comes after the girls ruled out a 30th anniversary tour.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain this week, the 51-year-old singer was asked by host Susanna Reid whether a Netflix project about the iconic girl group was still happening.

Mel didn’t sugar‑coat it, replying: “Well, I don't think anything's happening, I think something was, but I don't think it's actually going to be happening now after all, which is a shame.”

Pressed on why the project had suddenly stalled, Mel played coy, telling Susanna: “I’ll tell you in the dressing room!”

Scary Spice also once again poured a little doubt on hopes for a full Spice Girls reunion tour to mark the group’s 30th anniversary. While she insisted she’s always ready to get back on stage with her bandmates, she admitted the situation is far from straightforward.

Mel said: “I think you know if it's going to happen, it will happen, and I'm always for a Spice Girls reunion, don't get me wrong."
